You would like to transfer whatever files you have, like SMS, contacts, calendar, notes, on your old blackberry to your new blackberry phone but don't know the exact process, you have come to the right place. For any version of blackberry from bold to torch to curve or vice versa, it will do. 1. Install the Blackberry Desktop Manager into your computer. After installation, if it asks for update, pls do so. 2. Connect the old Blackberry phone into the computer. BDM will recognize the phone. If the phone is not recognize, wait for some time or disconnect and reconnect the phone. 3. Once it is recognized, on BDM, there is "Back up now" button beside "Device Options". Click this and save the file into your desktop for easier location of the file. 4. Once done, disconnect the old phone, and connect the new phone. Wait until BDM recognizes the phone. If not, disconnect and reconnect again. 5. Click on Device tab on the upper left corner of DBM, and select Restore. 6. Get the file from your desktop until it finishes. 7. You're done! All your info from old phone was transferred to new phone! NOTES: BBM messages will not be copied, but the contacts will be.
