September 25, 2010 Dear Ms.Nalini / Ms.Samia, Hi Mesdames, I would like to inform both of you when I’m assisting Dr. Belkais Marwan, the specialist dermatologist, I don’t like to be her nurse... because of so many reasons. These are: 1. She doesn’t know how to appreciate any of my help. At the end of the shift it’s like I owe her something that I helped her. No "thank you", not even an affirmative from her disposition. 2. She insults me in front of other people, specially patients. She always asks “Do you know that? You know how?” Oh my gosh! I am always helping her when no one is assisting her when there should be a nurse dedicated to her, but she never appreciates it. 3 doctors to 1 nurse? She always want a nurse to be with her inside most of the time even there are other doctors who needs me more. For minute things like gloves in front of her, she calls me just to give it to her! 3. She degrades me in front of patients. It’s like you’re the one who don’t understand, but she’s telling/describing/naming something in a wrong way! Before she speaks /tell something, she should think first, she should not tell to anyone or anybody “you don’t know anything”. It’s a very meaningful phrase that hurts me and other nurses too. 4. I show and clarify to her medicines to be given, but she will reply rudely and asks “You don’t know?” (before I give out anything to patients, I double check by asking the physician or by showing her the medicine, even though I know it already, because it is always happening that I will ask her many times then suddenly she will tell me that it is not the right one. She changes her statements prior to what she have said). 5. She’s always changing her words. She doesn’t have consistencies at all. She will blame you for everything. 6. She is not treating her colleagues as professionals but rather like housemaids. Just a simple switching the lights on/off, she calls me even though I’m busy with other things. One instance is she asks me to get a pair of scissors just to cut the remaining thread of her friend’s clothes! When she is getting angry, she is very unpredictable. She is professional unbecoming when one time she tore a paper because the receptionist misplaced the scanned paper, though the scanned paper that she tore has the same content with the misplaced paper! She acted very strange that we got so scared of her attitude. 7. She doesn’t want her staff to have a break. And when you go for a break, not even reaching 15-30mins, she will ask why? While she can have her food inside her room, in between patients… We are also human in need of food. Is she going to support her staff financially and emotionally when they will be sick?? Is she going to be responsible when her staff will have loss of consciousness because of fatigue and starving? Hopefully she will realize before somebody will got hurt. 8. If she doesn’t like a nurse or receptionist, she should tell it immediately, so that we will not look a stupid, thinking that the doctor appreciated our help, thus making the duty more stressful and heavier for the team that leads to her conclusion that we didn’t give her a hand and that she’s the only one who worked hard. 9. Lastly, after she wrote a letter complaining why Geraldine has been pulled out from her clinic and why me was sent to her that she don’t like me? Actually I am not the nurse assigned to her! I am just there to give a hand or help her because she don’t have any nurse even though nobody told me to help her and her nurse for a while, and I have doctors (dr.amin and dr.ghada) that time. As a professional I help her , but in the end I get a complain from her rather than thank you. Sincerely; Pinay vs Ihip to (mga ipis!) 1 Comment | AuthorHe is an engineer, an architect, a painter, a journalist, a blogger, a friend and a hunk with an ab. Yahoo!
